We are committed to changing this by providing innovative tools and connecting communities with national and international surgical expertise. Through collaboration with our partners, surgical networks, and hospitals, we strive to make surgical knowledge accessible to everyone in need.
We believe basic surgical care is a human right, and every person should have access to it. In our view, 17 million preventable deaths each year are unacceptable and can be addressed with today’s innovative tools.
Our mission is: “To realize equitable access to surgical care in underserved areas by connecting surgeons and healthcare professionals globally.” By 2030, we aim to provide life-saving surgical access to 1 million people in underserved regions through basic surgeries and the training of healthcare professionals.
Basic surgical care is readily available in some parts of the world, but for many, essential procedures like incisions, tissue removal, or anesthesia remain out of reach. While medical centers may be accessible, a lack of surgical expertise in certain regions prevents patients from receiving proper treatment. Surgeons are eager to help but cannot be everywhere at once.
Through the Surgical.Cloud Initiative, we aim to connect surgeons globally. Our mobile kits can be utilized in low-resource regions globally, connecting surgeons through smart surgery glasses and a real-time digital assistance platform.
